Applying for an MSc at DTU - admission process
Admission will be on a rolling basis. Hence, we advise that you apply at the earliest possible.
Admission process and time-line
Our master’s degree programmes have a limited number of places. If we receive more qualified applications than available spots, admission will be based on pre-defined selection criteria and a point-based system specific to each programme. You can find these details under Programme specifications → Academic Requirements → Limited Intake and Selection Criteria.
Important: Grades achieved after the application deadline cannot be included in the assessment. Applications are processed on a rolling basis, and we maintain a waiting list.

What does it mean to be on the waiting list?
If all study places are filled, qualified applicants may be placed on a waiting list. This means that you have been assessed as academically qualified for the MSc programme, but no study places are currently available. Being placed on a waiting list does not guarantee admission. If a study place becomes available, offers will be made to applicants on the waiting list. To remain on the waiting list, you must follow the instructions and deadlines provided in your waiting list letter.
