Yesterday, Campus Kalundborg took a major step toward opening its new building, which will strengthen collaboration among six educational institutions and create an attractive environment for learning, development, and innovation.
In addition to modern teaching facilities, the building will house laboratories and biotechnological pilot plants, as well as large shared spaces designed to encourage social interaction, meetings, knowledge sharing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
At the heart of the building, a double-height agora will serve as a central gathering place for students, lecturers, researchers, and visitors. The space will accommodate both everyday interactions and larger events, conferences, and joint activities.
Campus Kalundborg already offers an impressive range of educational programs, spanning vocational and professional education through to master's level studies. Since 2023, DTU has offered an Industrial MSc in Biomanufacturing in Kalundborg.

The new campus building is expected to be ready for the start of the academic year after the summer break in 2028. The six tenants will be DTU, the University of Copenhagen (KU), University College Absalon, TECHCOLLEGE Teknika, the Royal Danish Academy's Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation, and North West Zealand Business College and Upper Secondary School.
