Engineers will livestream debates from the Tech Tent at Kalvebod Brygge on Thursday 17 June. Get an overview of the debates below.
Folkemødet (the People’s Democratic Festival) will be held this year. Unlike previous years, you do not have to go to Bornholm to see the engineers debate, because the debates will be held at Kalvebod Brygge in Copenhagen.
This year, IDA will host a one-day programme, organized jointly (as usual) by DTU, the University of Southern Denmark, Aalborg University, Aarhus University, IDA, and Engineer the Future. The debates will be ‘hybrid’ events that combine live debates with online video meetings from Folkemødet’s website.
“It’s uplifting to see society slowly reopening. For me it’s important that we all support the democratic discourse. I look forward to debating several topics, including study programmes throughout the country and international students in Denmark,” says DTU President Anders Bjarklev.
Green transition, digitalization, and innovation
The Tech Tent at Bryggen will feature debates on education, research, working life, and the labour market—all under the technological banner, with everything that entails in terms of green transition, digitalization, and innovation. Among the debaters will be DTU President Anders Bjarklev and Professor Thomas Bolander, DTU Compute.
