New Director of DTU’s Campus Service

On March 1, Peter Brønd will be new Director of Facilities at DTU. He replaces Jacob Steen Møller.

Peter Brønd will be the new Director of Facilities at DTU, where he will continue to develop and expand DTU’s campuses so they can continue to provide world-class research facilities and learning environments.

Peter Brønd comes from a position as Senior Director of Global Engineering at LEO-Pharma, where he was responsible for the company’s total global capital investment, expansion and modernization of offices and infrastructure as well as the day-to-day operation of all technical facilities in seven factories in Europe.

“We’re pleased to have a strong profile on board, and I’m sure that Peter Brønd with his broad experience can both continue and further the work conducted at DTU and Campus Service," says University Director Claus Nielsen.

Engineering and finance
Through his job at LEO-Pharma, Peter Brønd has been Chairman of the Danish Pharmaceutical Industry Association’s Technical Committee, and contributor to the government’s climate partnership’s life science and biotech recommendations. The life science and biotech industry is one of a total of 13 industries that will contribute to achieving the government’s goal for Denmark to have reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 70 per cent by 2030. In addition, Peter Brønd is active in IDA Operations Management—a professional network of managers and specialists.

During his career, Peter Brønd has worked in the cross-field between of engineering and economics. He has a degree in power engineer, specializing in energy savings. In addition, he holds a Graduate Diploma in (HD) in Business Administration as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in management. Prior to his job in LEO-Pharma, Peter Brønd worked with long-term strategic planning for Novo Nordisk and Novozymes.
