Programme evaluations ensure high standards

Did you know that all of DTU’s study programmes undergo regular, thorough quality checks by international experts in their respective academic fields? This is part of DTU’s quality assurance work, which aims to ensure that the university’s degree programmes are of the very highest standard – from the academic level to their relevance to society.

All of DTU’s study programmes are evaluated on a rolling basis over a six-year period, during which the learning environment, academic content and societal relevance of each programme are reviewed. Photo: Bax Lindhardt

Facts

  • All Danish universities must have systematic quality assurance systems with established procedures for the evaluation and development of their study programmes.

  • Common national standards have been introduced, along with ongoing external evaluation of the universities’ quality assurance work, focusing on the relevance, quality and labour market needs of the programmes.

  • At DTU, this task is carried out by the Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs in close collaboration with the Heads of Studies for DTU’s study programmes.
