Software Engineering Model based Software Enigneering Formal Methods Business Process Modelling Workflow Management
Ekkart Kindler’s primary interest is in model based software engineering, which allows engineers to generate major parts of the code automatically from different kinds of models. This way, productivity as well as the quality of the resulting code can be increased. The long term goal is a technology for completely generating the software from models, and to support the corresponding development processes by tools. Ekkart Kindler is currently setting up a Competence Centre for Model Based Software Engineering at IMM, which helps software companies implementing current technologies of model based software engineering; his research his driven by the practical problems encountered in these companies. Ekkart Kindler is now associate professor at IMM/CS of DTU. He has obtained his masters and his PhD in computer science from the Technische Universität München (1990 /1995), and his habilitation from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2001. From 2000 to 2007, he was visiting professor in theoretical as well as in practical computer science at different German universities.
