The astronaut's advice to the engineers of the future
DTU invites students and employees to an event with astronaut Andreas Mogensen, who returns special cultural objects to DTU from space and participates in a debate on the role of engineers in major international projects.
On Tuesday 3 December, DTU welcomes you to an event with astronaut Andreas Mogensen, who returned from his six-month space journey earlier this year. At the event, Andreas Mogensen will share his experiences as an astronaut and commander on the International Space Station.
This will take place at a panel debate where he will participate together with Professor Henrik Bredmose from DTU Wind, Associate Professor and Head of Studies Birgitte Zeuner from DTU Bioengineering, and DTU student and co-founder of SKJOLDET Natasha Hougaard. Journalist Lise Brix is the moderator.
Among the topics that the panelists will discuss are the role of engineers in large international projects, exciting international career opportunities for engineering students, and why different disciplines and personalities are crucial for a well-functioning team.
Provost Rasmus Larsen will host the event and receive H.C. Ørsted's book 'The Spirit in Nature' and a wind turbine model from DTU Wind, which Andreas Mogensen has brought with him on his latest space trip along with a number of other cultural objects. Common to the objects is that they all represent different angles on Danish culture and research.
There will be a limited number of seats for the event. Therefore, arrive well in advance if you want to secure a seat. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are limited. The event is in Danish.
