Reinholdt W. Jorck and Wife’s Fund’s Research Award 2023 is awarded to a total of three researchers who have made an exceptionally meritorious contribution. Associate Professor Jes Frellsen, DTU Compute, and Professor Søren Kegnæs, DTU Chemistry, are among this year's Jorck’s Fund’s Research Award recipients.
Jes Frellsen is one of Denmark's leading experts in generative artificial intelligence. He receives DKK 450,000 for his development of groundbreaking methods for handling incomplete data. Jes Frellsen also researches the safe and reliable use of artificial intelligence and its applications in areas such as biology.
Søren Kegnæs receives DKK 450,000 for his research in green chemistry, with a focus on the development of new catalysts for the sustainable conversion of CO2 into chemicals and fuels. His work combines nanotechnology and catalysis to create innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
