In spring 2025, the European Commission invited 149 applicant groups from leading European universities to the negotiation process that precedes a final contract and DTU has received nine grants out of the 12 awarded to Denmark this year. The negotiation process is now underway, and in August, the names of the leaders of the nine research training networks will be announced.
Connecting research with established industry and technology start-ups through collaboration is part of DTU's strategy to create technology for people. It is, therefore, particularly pleasing that nine out of 12 PhD training networks that are coordinated from Denmark will be anchored at DTU.
Through the MSCA Doctoral Networks, which support collaboration between universities, organizations and industrial companies, PhDs can conduct research and training across sectors, disciplines and national borders. In other words, the PhD training programme is designed to give young researchers the very best research and career opportunities.
In addition to giving DTU access to an immense group of academic and industrial partners in Europe, the MSCA grants will enable DTU to recruit 49 international PhDs.
