New entrepreneurial hub to make one in ten DTU start-ups a growth company

DTU will take innovation success to a new level with greater focus on start-ups with scale-up potential. In order to provide long-term support, DTU SkyFactory is being established where start-ups will be able to develop and strengthen Europe’s competitiveness.

About the initiative

The initiative for DTU SkyFactory arose following an evaluation of DTU’s innovation ecosystem conducted by an external, international panel.

One of the panel’s recommendations was that DTU should intensify its efforts to support start-ups with scalability potential. This was further actualized by the Draghi report, which was published in 2024.

DTU SkyFactory will work closely with DTU’s existing innovation ecosystem. This includes the innovation hub DTU Skylab, the venture house Preseed Ventures, the research park DTU Science Park, the research and education centre DTU Entrepreneurship, and DTU Tech Transfer.
