Villum Young Investigators, YIP, are given to researchers at the beginning of their careers so that they can pursue the ideas they are passionate about and build their own research groups. As part of the programme, the researchers will have the opportunity to be part of a research community with networks and seminars on issues such as research management.

- Assistant Professor Carsten Baum, DTU Compute, receives the grant for the project ”QUID-PRO: Quantum-safe Information Distribution for Cryptographic Protocols”.
- Postdoc Daesung Park, DTU Energy, receives the grant for the project ”Defect-Induced Symmetry Breaking in Centrosymmetric Oxides for High-Efficiency Energy Conversion (SYMTEC)”.
- Researcher Deming Kong, DTU Electro, receives the grant for the project ”Digital Optical Neural Network Processor (DONN)”.
- Associate Professor Erwin Schoof, DTU Bioengineering, receives the grant for the project ”Revolutionizing spatial multi-omics through advanced sample preparation strategies”.
- Associate Professor Maria Montanucci, DTU Compute, receives the grant for the project ”Algebraic curves in information theory: a treasure yet to discover”.
