The atmosphere was good, and the attendance was excellent at Polyteknisk Forening's (PF) reception last Friday, where the participants said goodbye to the old board and welcomed the new one. Former President of PF Andreas Ipsen was the first speaker at the event, and he congratulated his fellow board members on a good and productive year and wished the new board the best of luck.
The President of The National Union of Students in Denmark (DSF), Esben Bjørn Simonsen, gave a short speech in which he called PF a highly valued council member and praised its way of conducting politics. Senior Vice President at DTU and Dean of Graduate Studies and International Affairs Philip John Binning also mentioned the importance of PF in his speech, calling the student association the voice of the students.
When it was PF's new President Natasha Hougaard's turn to give the last speech, she was enthusiastic regarding the new board’s impact and proud of the diversity of the board:
“I am very excited for the coming year and for working with my fellow board members. We might be a smaller board, but we are a mighty small board. We are proud of the diversity of the board and that it reflects the diversity of DTU. One Bachelor of Science, one International Bachelor of Science, one Bachelor of Engineering, and two Master Students”.
Natasha Hougaard also presented five visions that the new board will work to achieve in the coming year, and you can read all of them below in a shortened version. If you want to read them in total length, you can find them on PF's website.
