IDA makes a strategic investment of millions in a new venture fund linked to DTU

With a solid million-dollar injection into PSV Hafnium, the Danish Society of Engineers, IDA, is backing investments in early-stage deep-tech entrepreneurs.

Facts

PSV Hafnium is an independent Danish early-stage deep tech VC fund. The fund invests early in scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs building deep tech startups across Denmark and the Nordic countries. They draw on their deep knowledge of the startup journey and their roots in the DTU - Technical University of Denmark research community to help entrepreneurs scale technological breakthroughs into global solutions.

Currently, PSV Hafnium has invested in four deep-tech startups. The founding and managing partners of the fund are Marianne Hyltoft, Jakob Rybak-Andersen, Maria Emilie Danø Hoffmann, and Anders Kjær.

Facts

Venture House PSV (formerly PreSeed Ventures) was created to pave the way for founders who build companies with visions for the world. Their hybrid setup consisting of PSV Foundry, PSV Lab, and two unique venture funds, PSV Tech, and PSV Hafnium, impact the startup ecosystem. Their mission is to rethink existing frameworks and models to make an impact that spreads more significant ripples than any single fund, investment, or entrepreneur can alone. Venture House PSV was born out of DTU - Technical University of Denmark, over 20 years ago, where it is still based.
