DTU's Building 208 is in the running for prominent award

DTU's Building 208 at DTU Lyngby Campus is among 18 renovation projects that have been shortlisted for Renoverprisen 2025.

Building 208 has undergone a major renovation with a focus on student well-being and DTU's ambition to create a world-class learning environment. This has been done with respect for the architectural heritage and with a focus on responsible resource and energy consumption - both in construction and in operation.

"At DTU, we are pleased that the transformation is highlighted as an inspiring example of how public clients can optimize older buildings," says Anders B. Møller, Director of Campus Service at DTU.

About Renoverprisen

Realdania and Grundejernes Investeringsfond initiated the Renovation Award in 2013. The purpose of the prize is to honour good renovation projects. Projects that, rather than demolishing buildings and building new ones, focus on renovating existing ones, thereby saving the earth's resources and reducing the climate impact of construction. A total of 131 renovation projects were nominated for the 2025 award. Of these, 18 have been shortlisted.
