Research Area: Andreas Bechmannhave been working with wind modeling since he joined the Risø National Laboratory in 2003.With 13 years’ experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics he holds PhD in microscale wind modelling and has led measurement campaigns (the Bolund experiment, the Benakanahalli experiment, and the fence experiment)used as basis for international benchmarks. Andreas Bechmann is today managing the scientific development of the industry standard wind resource software WAsP and supervises wind energy M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
