MRL setting for pesticides in food Dietary intake calculation and risk assessment Assessment of the cumulative intake of pesticides

I am working with MRL setting for pesticides, intake calculations and risk assessment of proposed MRLs. I do scientific based advising to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and the Danish Environmental Agency. The advising includes participation in EU meetings, Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health and expert meetings on specific topics. I prepare Draft Assessment Reports (DAR) for pesticides on which Denmark is Rapporteur Member state, the residue part and the analytical part. The DARs are peer reviewed by other member state and by EFSA. This work includes evaluation of a huge amount of data. In the research area I am working with the development of methods to assess the risk of the cumulative dietary intake of pesticides. I have experienced use with the probabilistic methods in assessing the cumulative dietary intake of acute toxic compounds with the same mode of action. I participate in a Danish research project where a method should be developed to assess the cumulative dietary intake of endocrine disrupters. I am participating in an EU project where the accumulation of metals in food influenced by wastewater in Hanoi is assessed. The potential risk to consumers is assessed.
