Hubert Baumeister is expert in software engineering, in particular, extreme programming and object-oriented technology. His research interest include service-orientation, aspect-oriented modeling, formal methods, and semantics and extensions of the UML. Hubert Baumeister is associate professor in the department of Informatics and Mathematical Modelling (IMM) since 2006 and head of the Software Engineering section from 2008 to 2012. He obtained his Dr.-Ing. from the Saarland University and the Max Planck Institute of Computer Science in Saarbrücken in 1999. He has been an active collaborator and an executive project manager of several EU projects. He was academic chair of XP2004 and program chair of XP2005.
