Research keywords: Dynamical systems, Modelling of chemical and biochemical processes, Application oriented modelling, Process control and Model Predictive Control, Optimization and optimal control problems, Open and closed loop system identification, Parameter and state estimation, Controller tuning, Numerical algorithms. The research is focused both on development of generic tools for the process industry and application of advanced optimization method and systems engineering in both simulation studies and pilot plant and full scale. Applications are focused on chemical and biochemical production systems.
