Kasper Edwards is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where his research focuses on the development, deployment, and evaluation of organizational interventions. He explores how structured interventions can effectively drive improvements in organizational performance while safeguarding or enhancing employee wellbeing. His work spans methodological design, tool development, and practical evaluation, aimed at ensuring interventions deliver measurable, sustainable impact. A key theme in my research is bridging the gap between theory and practice in organizational change. He is particularly interested in designing interventions that are both evidence-based and actionable across diverse organizational settings—from public healthcare institutions to private SMEs. Edwards applies longitudinal, mixed-method approaches, often blending qualitative insights with quantitative indicators to monitor the evolution and effects of interventions over time. He is co-author of the Sigtuna Principles, a set of design guidelines for organizational interventions that prioritize adaptability, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes. These principles are now cited as best practices in intervention research and are used in both academic and consultancy settings. Dr. Edwards is also deeply involved in assessing hybrid work environments and the organizational impact of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into decision-making and managerial structures. In addition to the academic roles, dr. Edwards chairs a Nordic network for research on work environment, quality and productivity in healthcare. This network serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers and practitioners in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, and Finland, with a shared aim of promoting more effective and sustainable organizational change in healthcare systems. Dr. Edwards also serve on international editorial boards and research funding bodies. He is a frequent speaker at industry and research conferences, where he presents on themes such as hybrid work models, lean implementation, intervention evaluation, implications of performance management and the AI transformation. His insights are increasingly influencing policy discussions around work design, healthcare productivity, and responsible AI deployment.
