I'm an Assistant Professor at DTU Health Tech, specializing in metabolic brain imaging with hyperpolarized carbon-13 MRI. My research focuses on developing advanced imaging techniques to enhance the clinical usability of hyperpolarized MRI, particularly in translating methods from animal models to human applications. As part of the Metabolic Brain Magnetic Resonance (MBMR) group, I explore how hyperpolarized MRI can provide real-time insights into brain metabolism, bridging metabolic and functional imaging to better understand neurological processes. By optimizing imaging sequences and reconstruction methods, I aim to push the boundaries of temporal and spatial resolution, making hyperpolarized MRI a more powerful tool for studying brain function in both health and disease. I collaborate closely with hospital partners in Denmark and internationally to bring these advancements closer to clinical use. Beyond research, I contribute to teaching in medical imaging and supervise BSc, MSc, and PhD students, helping them develop expertise in MRI and its applications. I welcome collaboration opportunities in metabolic MRI, translational imaging, and clinical applications of hyperpolarized technology. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in working together!
