Dr. Sebastian B. Simonsen is Researcher at the division of Geodesy and Earth Observations, DTU-Space, with a background in theoretical glaciology, with emphasis on ice-core and remote-sensing data assimilation. By modeling snow and ice processes and utilizing data from the Cryosat-2 mission, the present research goal is to better estimate present-day changes of the cryosphere, with focus on the interior part of ice sheets. Sebastian has participated in numerous field campaigns both in Greenland and Svalbard, covering in total more than a year spend in the high arctic.
