Fermentation and downstream processing including beer brewing Tim Hobley conducts research into fermentation and downstream processing in lab and pilot scale. His main research interests are in: Fermentation physiology including the mechanisms behind enzyme production in the fungi Trichoderma and Aspergillus, as well as bioethanol production; Single cell protein using new types of fermenters; Pilot scale fermenters for biofilm cultivation; Magnetic adsorbents and processes for protein purification; Magnetic immobilised enzymes; All aspects of Beer brewing at lab and pilot scale.
