Master of Science (MSc) in Technology Entrepreneurship

Build your own start-up while studying and develop the competences to turn technology into a business that matters. Throughout the programme, you work hands-on with ideas, technologies, and teams to create ventures that make a difference for people, industries, and society.

Technology Entrepreneurship

Build your own venture

The Master of Science (MSc) in Technology Entrepreneurship is designed for those who wish to build your own businesses based on technology and create impact through innovation. The programme sits deliberately between a university and a start-up incubator. You gain a strong academic foundation along with two years of venture creation: a team, a technology, and a start-up that you build.

From the start, you work with creating and testing ideas–either your own or based on technologies from DTU research or industry. Academic knowledge is introduced as your venture needs it, whether in technology, market understanding, or financing, so that you build both depth and momentum. You learn to identify and evaluate opportunities, build strong teams, and navigate uncertainty as you move from early concepts to a validated business.

The programme provides mentors, coaching, workspace, and access to the wider DTU innovation ecosystem and its networks, but the commitment and engagement must come from you.

As a Technology Entrepreneurship student, you will be part of a learning environment that brings together students from many different academic and professional backgrounds, from the arts, design, and the social sciences to engineering and the natural sciences, and from across the world. This diversity reflects the reality of entrepreneurship and strengthens your ability to work across disciplines and develop solutions to complex challenges.

As a graduate, you will earn the degree Master of Science (MSc) in Technology Entrepreneurship (with the Danish title cand.tech.).
