Student life at Architectural Engineering
Technological design processes involve understanding people's needs and lives. Human relations are therefore also a key element in the programme. We emphasize the close contact between students and researchers / PhDs /professors—as well as our many international students—as this will help integrate you into Danish student life and culture.

Our professors and lecturers are easily accessible, and we attach great important to creating a vibrant academic environment through e.g.:
- Lectures of particular relevance to Architectural Engineering with external keynote speakers
- Participation in student competitions and tasks—including Solar Decathlon
- Annual study tours—open to all

Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories—as well as an attractive student environment in a brand new building, tailor-made to house mutiple creative design processes and an inspiring learning enviroment.
Preparing for a career
It is natural for companies to see graduate students from the Architectural Engineering program as future colleagues. Thus we create opportunities for you to prepare for your future career through workshops, lectures, and other activities that allow students to form and nurture professional networks.
Through our alumni network on Linkedin students can interact with DTU alumni and network and prepare for the transformation from student to graduate.
Influence on the programme and the study environment
You can get elected to the Board of Studies where four students and four lecturers monitor the quality of teaching and come up with initiatives to improve the teaching and learning environment.
The Education Forum—which includes both students and PhDs, researchers, lecturers, and external professionals—continuously evaluate and develop the programme.
