- Mammalian cell engineers contribute to the transition towards a sustainable society by developing efficient cell‐based manufacturing platforms for vaccines, biologics, and advanced therapies with reduced resource and energy consumption.
- Within this specialisation, you will obtain competences in mammalian cell biology, genetic and metabolic engineering, bioprocess design, and data‑driven optimisation of cell‑based production systems.
- Focus areas include cell line development, genome editing, bioreactor operation and scale‑up, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, quality‑by‑design, and regulatory aspects of biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
