Specializations - Computer Science and Engineering
The MSc Eng in Computer Science and Engineering has six optional specializations.
These are fixed programmes of study that have extra high requirements to the choice of courses and projects compared to the general MSc programme.
- Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms
- Computer Security
- Digital Systems
- Embedded and Distributed Systems
- Safe and Secure by Design
- Software Engineering
Important
With respect to the study lines only the course numbers are relevant and so, for example, the courses might count as general competences instead of technological specialization and the courses might have obsolete titles, but such things do not matter for the required study line points

Specializations
The programme has the following specializations:
- Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms
- Computer Security
- Digital Systems
- Embedded and Distributed Systems
- Safe and Secure by Design
- Software Engineering
Specializations are merely recommended ways of choosing the courses in the curriculum. Applicants are not admitted to a specialization but to the programme and it is possible to choose among all the courses in the curriculum following the directions given. However, if a specialization has been fulfilled the title of the specialization may be added to the diploma.
