Preliminary programme for the intro days

Wednesday 27 August

Meeting time: 9:00 am
Meeting place: Lyngby Campus, Building 101, Glassalen

• From 8:30 am-9:00 am Arrival!
  Your vectors will be waiting for you by building 101, to assist you in finding your way to the glasshall :-D
• 9:00 am-9:20 am Cake team distribution!
  We will introduce you to your new cake teams, other students who are just as new as you are!
• 9:25 am-9:45 am Joint welcome speech from KABS and the Head of Studies
• 9:45 am-10:45 am: Wwlcome speeches
  The president of DTU, the dean and the president of PF welcomes you.
• 10:45 am-12:30 pm Welcome speeches from first semester teachers and the engineering association, with breaks sprinkled in between.
• 1:00 pm Lunch
• 1:40 pm-2:00 pm General Engineering Student Council presentation
• 2:30 pm-3:00 pm Follow-up from the Head of Studies.
• 3:00 pm That's all folks!

Thursday 28 August

  Today we are in building 303A auditorium 42
• 9:00 am-9:10 am Morning welcome and presentation of the day's agenda
• 9:30 am-10:20 am IDA Presentation
  The Danish Engineering Society will explain how they can help you during your time at school, and beyond!
• 10:25 am-10:40 am Introduction to the various specializations that General Engineering has to offer.
• 10:40 am-12:30 pm Star Run around Campus
• 12:45 pm-1:15 pm Lunch
• 1:45 pm Introfair
  An open opportunity to explore some of the myriad extracurriculars that DTU has to offer
• 3:00 pm That's all folks! (Except, what if it isn't????)
  There will be more activities for you to explore, either on your own, with your caketeam, or entirely different friends you've made over the last few days!

Friday 29 August

  We suggest that you check the weather beforehand since a majority of the program will be outside.
• 9:50 am-10:05 am Speech from GE Union
• 10:20 am-3:00 pm CROSS TEAMS!
  During your time at DTU, you will need to work along with people of all sorts of backgrounds and engineering aspirations. This is an opportunity to meet people who study something different to you, and build your social network! Your vector will guide you to meet with other students, whom you will be with until dinner.
• 3:00 pm-6:00 pm Crossteam: Afternoon Activities
  We'll warm up to the intro party with a bunch of activites within your cross team. Among other things, it will be possible to:
  - Visit the Friday Bars around Campus (3:00 pm-9:00 pm)
  - Play Board Games with PFantasyDome (building 116)
  - Forest-stratego
  - Engineering Game
  When in doubt, don't hesitate to ask your vector what's planned!

  Start your time at DTU in style! We're inviting all new students at DTU to join us for the DTU Intro Party! We've also invited Sivas, Danser med Piger and Faustix to play, so it'll be a night to remember! Signup occurs here.

Polytechnical Summer Fun 30 August

Polytechnical Summer Fun is PF’s study start event that concludes the intro week for all new bachelor students.

DTU and engineering are not just about becoming an expert in one field – they are about creating something together with others. At Polytecnical Summer Fun KABS and vectores invite you to continue the cross team activities from Friday. You will spent the day in small groups on activities focusing on teamwork, community, and good energy. Please remember to bring your own lunch, otherwise you can buy something at the local supermarket.
