Wednesday 27 August: Intro day

Arrival
Your vectors will be ready to welcome you and guide you to the correct room when you arrive on campus.
9:00 am-9:45 am

Welcome
You and your fwllow students are welcomed and introduced to the day's programme by your KABS and vectors. You will also meet your head of study and/or lecturer.
 9:45 am-10:15 am Welcome speeches
The President of DTU, the Dean, and the President of the student union Polyteknisk Forening (PF) welcome the new students to DTU.
10:15 am-3:00 pm including lunch break

 

Activities planned by KABS and vectors in consultation with the head of studies and/or lecturers, such as:

  • Academic, practical, or social introduction to the study programme
  • Campus tour/scavenger hunt

Thursday 28 August: Intro day

Arrival
The room is the same as yesterday. There are a few vectors walking around campus who can help you find your way if you're unsure.
9:00 am-9:30 am

Welcome
You will be welcomed and introduced to the day's programme by your KABS and vectors.
9:30am-1:15 pm including lunch break

IntroFair for new students
Our IntroFair is a student life fair that showcases a wide range of social activities, associations, and clubs you can join at DTU. You will be guided through the fair in small groups together with your new fellow students.

Afternoon activities
Join cozy activities, such as board games and engineering games. Get to know your new fellow students better, experience the community with DTU Students Culture Hub and explore even more at the IntroFair.

You will be welcomed and introduced to the day's programme in your cake group.
10:30 am-3:00 pm including lunch break

Activities acos study lines planned by vectors and KABS
DTU – and engineering in general – is not just about becoming an expert in one field. It is about learning how to collaborate across disciplines. So today you will meet fellow new students from other study lines in small mixed groups. Together, you will take part in activities focused on teamwork, connection, and good energy.

You will be accompanied by familiar faces from your cake group and your cross-group vector throughout the activities.

Cozy activities across study lines
The afternoon continues with relaxed and fun cross-team activities organized by the vectors and KABS. 
You will also have a chance to explore the DTU Students Culture Hub again – a space for creativity, community, and student-driven activities on campus.
6:00 pm-7:00 pm

Dinner (at you own expense)
Take a break, grab some food, and get ready for the evening’s celebration.

Intro Party at Lyngby Campus
We’ll round off the day – and the intro days – with a big party on campus! Look forward to an evening full of dancing, music, and even more great company.

Saturday 30 August: Polytechnical Summer Fun
10:00 am-3:00 pm Polytechnical Summer Fun is PF’s study-start event, wrapping up the intro week for all new BSc and BEng students.

DTU and engineering are not just about becoming an expert in one field—they’re about creating something together with others. That’s why, at Polytechnical Summer Fun, KABS and vectors invite you to continue the cross-group activities starting Friday. The day is spent in small teams, participating in collaboration, community, and good-energy activities.

Please remember to bring lunch. Otherwise, you can buy something at the local supermarket.
