University of Nairobi is Kenya is the oldest university in Kenya and East Africa, established in 1956. With more than 80.000 students and 9 campuses it is also one of the country’s largest universities. The main campus is located in the capital of Nairobi. 

Purpose of the collaboration

DTU and University of Nairobi have entered a strategic partnership with purpose of working together across, education, innovation, research, and capacity building.

• Research collaboration within circular economy, environmental issues, and food
• Capacity building

The partnership is connected to Denmark’s engagement in Kenya and Danish support to green, sustainable and inclusive growth that provides opportunities for Kenya’s large young population.
